This is a set of Japanese inspired shoulder armor.
Each set is made of 8 overlapping panels of 8-10 ounce leather laced on with paracord.
You have the option of leaving the leather unhardened, or hardening the leather with wax making it much more protective, and legal protection for many fighting groups (SCA, HEMA etc.)
You also have the option of attaching the shoulders across the chest and under the arms via paracord straps with toggles, or with straps and buckles.
We also offer a leather mantle gorget that is a much more secure and comfortable way to mount the shoulders. Check out the other listing if you're interested in that option.
As a standard, we will use black paracord to lace everything together. Many other color option are available. feel free to message me if you'd like a different color.
Be advised that wax hardening the leather with darken it considerably.

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. A lot of time and effort has gone into every item we offer, and we do our best to make sure that everything that leaves our shop lives up to our standards and hopefully yours.
Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.

We occasionally update/improve the design of some items, so it is possible that the photos on some listings might not be entirely up to date.
