A saddlebag style satchel made out of authentic Brain Tanned Bison leather.
A modified version of our "outlaw" bison saddlebag which is meant to capture the utilitarian spirit of frontiersmen. The brain tanned Bison hide is true to the period, tanned by hand using the brain of the animal and then smoked over a fire. This process produces a very strong but supple leather that "breathes" more than other leathers and retains its strength as time goes on.
The straps on this bag are made out of 10 ounce vegetable tanned cowhide, and laced onto the bag. The straps are adjustable via a leather lace, or a buckle. If you would like the straps made out of the same leather as the bag, let me know before ordering.
The flap is closed via an elk antler tip toggle that is wedged into a loop that passes through the flap. The antler is tethered to the bag with a leather cord.
The diamond shape to the overlay for the toggle is standard, but each bag is made to order, so we can do whatever shape you'd like.
The leather has a buffed "chamois" texture, and the color is naturally a yellow/rawhide that will darken with use. We're not currently offering any coloring options, but may in the future.
Each bag has a generous (12.5" x 9.5" x 3") main storage area as well as a smaller inner pocket for smaller items, and a larger pocket on the outside back of the bag for storage without having to unfasten the flap.

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. A lot of time and effort has gone into every item we offer, and we do our best to make sure that everything that leaves our shop lives up to our standards and hopefully yours.
Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.

We occasionally update/improve the design of some items, so it is possible that the photos on some listings might not be entirely up to date.

Quality product. The brain tanned bison leather have suede like texture and very supple, durability feel. This bag is large enough to put my notebook, iPad, EDC bag and portable battery, etc in, very competent as a daily bag. A handsome versatile bag, five stars isn’t enough.
