This listing is for a pair of leather Knee leg armor (Poleyn).
They are constructed much like the elbow armor that I offer, but are obviously larger, and have panels and straps for above and below the knee so keep them securely in place.
They are made from 8-10 oz Latigo cowhide, or vegetable tanned leather for the less standard colors. They have the option of having a second layer stitched over the bottom layer to add thickness, and also can be impregnated with wax to add rigidity to function as armor in reenactment fighting, HEMA, LARP, or whatever your hobby happens to be. As with any armor, if you do plan on using these for protection, you should wear a gambeson, or add some padding of your own ( I recommend cotton batting/pillow filler).

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. A lot of time and effort has gone into every item we offer, and we do our best to make sure that everything that leaves our shop lives up to our standards and hopefully yours.
Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.

Item quality was great, and seller was responsive when I accidentally but in the wrong address. Unfortunately I have smaller thighs and ankles and the knee guards are too large for me. If they fit you, they will work great, they just don’t fit me.

The leather is of good quality, and I've no qualms with the hinging. I had issues with the fit though and could not stand with a straightened leg without the cup digging painfully into my shin bone. After shipping the armor back, they had some of the leather cut away. The fit is better now, but after wearing them for several hours for the duration for an event, my legs are bruised from where the knee armor continues to dig into my calves. Also, when I received the armor back, one of them was scratched. I was informed to try rubbing wax onto it, but this has not fixed it. While I didn't expect these to remain in pristine condition, it's disappointing to have to send something brand new in for adjustment, and receive it back already dinged up.
